Help Training for Life reach the people who need it
Training for Life follows Samantha Sauer, a certified patient advocate and running coach, as she trains for a half-marathon while living with gastroparesis and multiple chronic illnesses. It’s a story about resilience, community, and what it really takes to keep moving. The film is an official selection of the NYC Short Documentary Festival.
We made this film independently. Now we want it in front of the patients, families, clinicians, and runners it was made for.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is fiscal sponsorship?
Independent films aren’t nonprofits. Fiscal sponsorship lets a nonprofit, here Fractured Atlas, accept tax-deductible donations on a project’s behalf. Your gift is processed by Fractured Atlas and directed to Training for Life.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes, to the extent allowed by law. You’ll receive a receipt from Fractured Atlas.
Why does a finished film still need support?
Finishing a film is half the work. Getting it seen through festivals, distribution, accessibility, and screenings is where the real costs and the real impact are.
Can my company or organization get involved?
Yes. We offer Presenting and Supporting Partner opportunities for the film’s screening and impact tour. Send a partner inquiry
